Cristão, casado, pai e natural da zona leste de São Paulo (Brasil), tenho uma profunda paixão pela astronomia e pela partilha do conhecimento científico.
Atualmente faço parte do Grupo de Comunicação de Ciência no Instituto de Astrofísica e Ciências do Espaço (IA) da Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade de Lisboa e sou o responsável pelo Planetário da Biblioteca Municipal da Nazaré.
Sou doutorando em Astrofísica no IA, onde a investigação centra-se na astrofísica extragaláctica, com foco no estudo de galáxias distantes, núcleos ativos de galáxias e radioastronomia.
Motiva-me a possibilidade de compreender cada vez mais o Universo e, sobretudo, de transformar esse conhecimento em algo acessível e significativo para outras pessoas. Acredito que a ciência ganha verdadeiro valor quando é partilhada, e procuro contribuir ativamente para a sua divulgação junto de diferentes públicos, em especial através da educação e da comunicação de ciência.
Vejo na partilha do conhecimento uma forma de generosidade, fruto da gratidão pela oportunidade de aprender e investigar.
About me
I am a Christian, married, father and a native of the eastern zone of São Paulo (Brazil), and I have a deep passion for astronomy and the sharing of scientific knowledge.
Currently a member of the Science Communication Group at the Institute of Astrophysics and Space Sciences (IA) of the Faculty of Sciences, University of Lisbon, and I am in charge of the Planetarium at the Nazaré Municipal Library.
I am a PhD student in Astrophysics at the IA, where my research centres on extragalactic astrophysics, with a focus on the study of distant galaxies, active galactic nuclei and radio astronomy.
I am motivated by the possibility of understanding the Universe more and more and, above all, of transforming that knowledge into something accessible and meaningful for other people. I believe that science gains true value when it is shared, and I seek to actively contribute to its dissemination to different audiences, especially through education and science communication.
I see the sharing of knowledge as a form of generosity, born from gratitude for the opportunity to learn and investigate.
